All realizations and changes begin somewhere. My change began after having so much anxiety knowing there was something more for me out there. I could feel that I was off track in my life.
The only problem was that I didn’t know what that something was.
When my husband brought up the idea of me taking a yoga teacher training class, I was very skeptical.
First of all, the only yoga I had practiced was at home and I couldn’t get through the warm up. Yet, for one reason or another I still went for it.
So, after getting past that uncomfortable first week, I ended up learning so much more than expected about myself.
When I thought things couldn’t get better, I was introduced to a video that Dr Wayne Dyer did called The Shift.
And that’s where my shift began.
One of my favorite words to repeat over and over is, “PRACTICE”. Through the art of practice, I have started the motion into the way that I want to live my life.
Most noteworthy, when you feel pressured, angry or depressed about something, you are never going to give your best. Those feelings are signs that we have taken a wrong turn. Being aware of those feeling can help us get back on track.
So, what are some of the ways to know if you’re on track?
Pay attention to your feelings
If you feel:
- Aggravated
- Guilty
- Upset
- Depressed
- Frustrated
- Pressured
- Envy
Those are all feelings that indicate that it’s time to make a change. But, when overwhelmed with the feelings of:
- Peace
- Love
- Joy
- Inspiration
- Passion
- Gratitude
- Excitement
That’s when you know you’re on the right track. That’s when you know you are living a life of pourpose.
In addition, I have found peace in doing what I love. To know that as long as I’m passionate about what I do, everything will fall into place.
As a result, when we’re on track, we can help and inspire others. Your body knows when it’s ready.
