I am a huge fan of Tim Burton, an American film director, producer, artist, writer and animator. I love his work and love to have Tim Burton marathons with my kids. I am so happy that I get to share his work with my kids. With that said, of course we couldn’t miss watching Alice Through The Looking Glass.
Alice In Wonderland is one of my all-time favorite book and film, so when I heard the first announcement, I was ECSTATIC! My husband surprised our kids and me with tickets to see Alice Through The Looking Glass for our 12 year anniversary. Now, usually it would of been nice to go out and have a nice date alone, but…. Alice Through The Looking Glass + A Tim Burton Creation + My favorite people in the world to enjoy it all with = the best anniversary gift EVER!
As I am enjoying the movie, and as it comes to an end, I am prepare for the ending of the movie. Then I hear Alice tell The Mad Hatter, “The only thing worth doing, is what you do for others.”
Wow! That just took me back. I smiled and was inspired.
I realized that I had to concentrate on what I could do for others. I also realized that things within my life were taking a turn for the best the moment I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life as a career (more on that later). The peace, joy, excitement and success come for what we can do for others.
There are many things that I can quote that have inspired me by watching Alice Through The Looking Glass, but this one just blew me away. As you think of these words, “The only thing worth doing, is what you do for others.”
What is the first inspiration that comes to mind?
Can you think of an example of a time that things just worked out for you after taking the practice of doing things for others?
What are some ways or things that you can do for others?
As I came up with something that was worth doing for others, I am finally able to find my purpose. Give it a try and let me know your experience. If you haven’t been able to go see Alice Through The Looking Glass, I highly recommend you taking the time and watching it. So worth it!
Much Love, Peace and Joy
